StarMedia Network and MyPoints.com Announce Exclusive Strategic Alliance To Create the First Internet Loyalty Program For Spanish- and Portuguese-Speaking Audiences in Latin America

Internet Loyalty Program Will Enable StarMedia Network Users to Earn Reward Points for Shopping Online, Registering for Services, and Responding To Targeted Marketing Offers, Among Other Actions

NEW YORK, and SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ --StarMedia Network (Nasdaq: STRM), the leading Internet media company for Spanish- and Portuguese- speaking audiences worldwide, and MyPoints.com (Nasdaq: MYPT), a leading developer of Internet direct marketing services and loyalty infrastructure, announced today an exclusive strategic alliance to build and operate the first Internet loyalty program for Spanish- and Portuguese- speaking audiences in Latin America.

The customized program will provide StarMedia Network properties and merchant partners with a turnkey incentive solution, enabling them to reward users with redeemable points for a variety of online actions, including purchasing products and services online, registering for services and responding to targeted marketing offers.

The program will offer Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking Internet users with additional incentives to keep coming back to StarMedia Network properties. Reward points in the program will be redeemable for a wide variety of products and services.
